After the client provided the interior design drawings and modern-style renderings, we developed the detailed shop drawings for this residential model room custom woodwork project. The work included cabinet structure, dimensions, material selection and finish details for the whole-house custom woodwork and cabinet system.
After the drawings were confirmed, we prepared three material samples, including two wood veneer finish samples and one opaque paint finish sample, for the client to review the surface effect, color direction and process details before production. Once the samples were approved, we carried out site measurements, checked the actual dimensions against the confirmed shop drawings, and then moved into custom production and on-site installation.

The Challenge
The main challenge of this residential custom woodwork project was the tight schedule and overlapping site construction. Cabinet production had to start before the interior base construction was fully completed, so some installation dimensions needed to be reserved on site according to the confirmed shop drawings.
During the bathroom vanity installation, the original design required a reserved width of 1750mm, but the actual site width was only 1730mm when the cabinet arrived on site. This created an installation issue because the vanity could not fit the space according to the original dimensions. To keep the project on schedule, the installation team made local adjustments on site so the bathroom vanity could be installed smoothly.
