The client provided the interior design drawings and renderings, and required production to follow the confirmed design plan. Since the wine cabinet and irregular-shaped decorative screen were both approximately 5 meters high, the project required careful control of structural stability, panel consistency and production feasibility during the shop drawing development stage.
To make sure the design could be produced accurately, we worked with the production manager during drawing development to confirm key details before manufacturing. After production was completed, the extra-tall wine cabinet and irregular-shaped decorative screen were pre-assembled in the factory to check the structure, shape and overall fit before being transported to the sales center for wall installation.

The Challenge
The main challenge of this project came from the production of the extra-tall irregular-shaped screen and the load-bearing control of the extra-tall wine cabinet doors. For the irregular-shaped screen, base material cutting required both CNC carving and manual adjustment to maintain the accuracy of the curved lines and overall shape.
Because the screen included large curved panel structures, temperature changes could increase the risk of panel deformation, paint cracking or finish detachment over time. Therefore, each step from base structure preparation to opaque paint finishing required more detailed technical control to improve structural stability and surface consistency.
The wine cabinet doors used stainless steel-wrapped extra-tall tempered glass. Due to the height and weight of the doors, each side was fitted with 10 hinges to distribute the load, support smooth opening and reduce the risk of difficult operation or deformation.

This commercial custom woodwork project shows that extra-tall and irregular-shaped structures require early coordination between shop drawing development, production feasibility and installation planning. For B2B clients such as real estate developers, contractors and interior design companies, structural stability, panel consistency and factory pre-assembly are important control points before the products are delivered to site.
