Lobby bar counter, wood veneer wall panels and cabinets, guest room entrance doors, wardrobes, TV cabinets, tables, chairs, sofas, headboard wall panels, upholstered panels, bed bases, bedside tables, bathroom vanities, public area ceilings, stairs and handrails, all custom woodwork
The client provided the interior design drawings and initial concept plan. During the project, the design of each functional area was adjusted according to the client’s requirements. After each area effect was confirmed, we prepared small samples, carried out site measurements and developed detailed shop drawings before batch production.
Since Bipenggou is located in a high-altitude area with large temperature differences, moisture-resistant treatment was applied to the back side and base surface of all panels during production. The cabinet doors were produced with an aluminum honeycomb core for better structural stability, while the guest room entrance doors included acoustic cotton, sound insulation board and sound insulation felt to improve sound insulation performance. After production, the finished woodwork was delivered and installed on site in batches.

The Challenge
The main challenge of this resort hotel custom woodwork project came from the non-standard room layouts. Since the hotel was designed as a detached villa-style resort, each room type had different dimensions, layouts and installation conditions. This meant the custom woodwork could not be produced as repeated standard units.
From design development to production and on-site installation, each room type needed to be handled separately with its own shop drawings, material confirmation, production schedule and installation coordination. This required close coordination across drawing development, material preparation, workshop production, quality checking and phased site installation to reduce mistakes and keep the project moving.

Project Notes
This resort hotel custom woodwork project shows that non-standard hotel layouts require a different project control process than standard repeated guest room production. For detached villa-style resort projects, each room type may have different dimensions, layouts and installation conditions, so shop drawings, material confirmation, production planning and site installation need to be managed by room type or functional area.
The project also highlights the importance of climate-based material treatment. Since the hotel is located in a high-altitude area with large temperature differences, moisture-resistant treatment on the back side and base surface of the panels helped reduce risks related to humidity, temperature changes and long-term panel stability.
For higher-end hospitality projects, structural stability and acoustic performance should also be considered before production. Aluminum honeycomb cores for cabinet doors and sound insulation materials inside guest room entrance doors helped meet the project’s requirements for durability, stability and guest room comfort. For similar resort hotel custom woodwork projects, key control points include functional area approval, small sample confirmation, accurate site measurement, detailed shop drawings, climate-adapted panel treatment, phased production and coordinated on-site installation.
