American Style Moulding Door

American style moulding cabinet door with raised frame details

American Style Moulding Door

American style moulding door is a cabinet door style with a strong framed appearance and decorative layering, commonly used in custom cabinetry and interior woodwork. It usually uses wider frames, raised mouldings and heavier door proportions to create a classic and vintage visual effect. Compared with Shaker doors, American style moulding doors have stronger profile details and a heavier, more traditional style. Compared with standard flat panel doors, American style moulding doors offer stronger style expression and more visual depth on the door surface. The final effect depends on frame width, moulding proportion, substrate stability, jointing process, sanding quality and paint finish. Because the mouldings and frame structure are more complex, corner details, paint build-up and later cleaning maintenance should be carefully controlled during production.
