Stone Options

Stone options are supporting materials commonly used in custom cabinetry, bathroom vanities, kitchen cabinets, islands, feature walls and commercial woodwork. They are mainly used for countertops, wall surfaces, cabinet decorative surfaces and local functional surfaces. Compared with wood-based panels or standard finishes, stone materials usually offer better wear resistance, stain resistance, visual texture and spatial expression. They are suitable for residential, hotel and commercial projects that require durable countertops, easy-clean surfaces and a more premium spatial effect. The final result depends on stone type, thickness, texture, processing method, cut-out position, transportation protection and on-site installation conditions.

Materials Detail

Visual Effect

Available in solid color, stone pattern, natural texture, matte finish, glossy finish, refined or heavy visual effects. Natural stone has more natural veining, but color and texture variation are more obvious. Artificial stone and sintered stone usually offer better batch consistency.

Common Types

Quartz stone, sintered stone, natural marble, artificial stone, granite, terrazzo

Common Thickness

12mm, 15mm, 18mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm. The final thickness should be selected according to material type, application position, edge profile and load-bearing requirements.

Suitable Applications

Kitchen countertops, bathroom vanity countertops, islands, bar counters, reception desks, feature walls, hotel furniture, commercial cabinetry, display area countertops and custom projects that require wear-resistant and easy-clean surfaces.

Not Suitable For

Low-budget projects, positions that require extensive on-site cutting, walls or cabinets with insufficient load-bearing capacity, projects with unconfirmed installation dimensions, or projects that cannot accept natural stone color and texture variation.

Processing / Installation Requirements

Dimensions, thickness, cut-out positions, edge treatment, joint method, back support, transportation packaging and on-site installation conditions should be confirmed in advance. Sink, faucet, socket, appliance and hardware cut-out positions should be confirmed before processing to avoid later rework.

Advantages

Strong surface texture, good wear resistance and stain resistance, and easy cleaning. Suitable for countertops, islands, bathroom vanities and high-use areas in commercial spaces.

Limitations

Relatively heavy, with higher requirements for transportation, installation and cabinet support. Natural stone may have color variation, texture differences and staining risk. Some materials have higher costs for cut-outs, edge treatment and special-shaped processing.

Key Notes

Confirm stone type, thickness, texture direction, acceptable color variation, cut-out dimensions, edge profile, joint position and on-site load-bearing conditions. For kitchens, bathrooms or commercial spaces, pay special attention to stain resistance, sealing protection, corner protection, transportation damage and final joint appearance after installation.
